Tuesdays are 3 AI updates, one hot take, one action. Fridays are 1 practical real estate agent workflow.
Yesterday I showed a video process live in my Agent as CMO session for Compass agents (as part of their Agent as CEO program), and people loved it, so I’m sharing here for my wider audience.
I filmed myself on my phone talking about the Williamsburg market, gave the file to Claude Opus 5.5 with one prompt, and got back and animated Instagram Reel. It cut me out of the background and built animations behind me in the style of my website, with the numbers I mentioned on screen. Below is how to make your own. I was going to send the seller handout I mentioned on Tuesday, but I think this is a more powerful way to stay in front of future sellers, so I swapped it in.

A frame from the finished Reel.
What you need. A phone, a computer with Chrome, and Claude. I used Claude Opus 5.5. You also need a brand visual reference. It could be a website or listing presentation that looks like you to guide the visual style of the animations. Keep client names and addresses out of the video.
1. Add the Claude extension to Chrome (3 min)
Search “Claude browser extension” in the Chrome Web Store and add it. It lets Claude work inside the tools you already use in your browser, which here means reading your website so it can match your look.

One-time setup.
2. Film one take on your phone (5 min)
Hold your phone upright and talk for about 30 seconds about one neighborhood or one market stat. Use a few talking points and no script. Mine was a selfie about the Williamsburg market. Say each number out loud and clearly, because Claude builds the on-screen text from what you say, and pull the numbers from your own stat sheet, like the one in Teach Gemini Your Neighborhood's Numbers. Steady hands, good light and a quiet spot matter more than you'd expect, because the better the footage, the better the Reel.
3. Let your website be the style guide (2 min)
I didn't write a design brief. I pointed Claude at my own site and it pulled the look from there, down to the torn-paper cards. If you don't have a website, a listing presentation can do the same job.

My homepage was the only style guide Claude got.
4. Attach the video and paste one prompt (2 min, plus build time)
Attach your video to a new chat, then paste this with your own details filled in:
Here is the video of me talking about the [neighborhood] market. Watch the video and create a video in the style of my brand [your website]. Cut my body out and green screen the rest and put animations behind me that match the ideas that I mention, including numbers and images of [places or things I mention]. Ask any questions you need to make this. The final file should be an Instagram reel.
The last line of the prompt invites questions, so expect a few and answer them. When it finishes you should have a vertical video file that is ready for Instagram.
Here is a video I posted to Instagram which explains how I did it (also made with Claude of course ;).
Where this breaks
The footage is the ceiling. Claude can cut you out and animate behind you, but a shaky or dark take shows through, and I'd still hire a videographer for listing videos and use this for the neighborhood and market updates in between.
In my demo I let it use images of the Hermes store I mentioned. It made an animation because it doesn’t have rights to the images. For your own Reels I'd give it photos you took, since an image from the web can belong to someone else.
Keep it to neighborhoods and market stats. If a clip shows a real listing, it has to match reality, and AI-altered listing images need disclosure under your MLS and state rules. Don't describe who lives in an area, because that's a fair housing issue.
And if you'd rather not be on camera, my August issue builds a neighborhood clip with no camera at all.
AI FOR RE AGENTS DECEMBER COURSE IS OPEN

If you want me to help you learn how to make a video like this, along with a lot of other AI techniques to improve your business I’d recommend my end of the year course. It runs December 6-12 in four live online sessions, built around projects you finish as we go, and enrollment is open now at maven.com/matt-spangler/ai-for-real-estate. If you're newer to Claude, my Claude 101 for Real Estate class is Saturday, November 14. If you purchase the end of year course the 101 course is free.
“This was an amazing class that cut through the noise. Not everything AI offers is relevant to realtors, but Matt has found what does!” - Bianca Ungerman, April 2026 cohort.
