Tuesdays are 3 AI updates, one hot take, one action. Weekends are 1 practical real estate agent workflow.

Earlier this week I said Google Vids will turn a plain document into a narrated video on its own - and that it only knows what you already told it. Here's a 25 minute lesson that turns a rough draft into something you'd actually post.
What you need. A paid Google plan - a personal Google AI subscription, or Workspace through your brokerage. Free Gmail won't have it, and there's nothing to install: Vids already lives inside Google Drive. Plus one real listing description or CMA you've already written, saved as a Google Doc or PDF.
1. Pick the right source document (3 min)
A listing description with clear sections - kitchen, yard, neighborhood - gives Vids scenes to build around. A dense wall of text comes out flat. If yours isn't split up, spend two minutes breaking it into three or four short paragraphs, one per feature, before you upload it.
2. Generate the first draft (5 min)
Open Google Vids - vids.new takes you right there - and pick your shape first, up at the top: Landscape for a website or email, Portrait for Instagram. Then choose the card called Docs to video and select your file. Let it generate. This is the rough cut, not the finished video.

Shape first at the top, then the Docs to video card.
3. Fix the narration so it sounds like you (7 min)
Watch it once, then open the script editor and read the narration line by line. Delete the generic phrases or AI speak - "stunning," "must-see," "won't last" - and replace it with an insight that only you would know. Examples could be which way the kitchen window faces at sunset, why the seller planted that tree. Make it yours.
4. Fix the visuals (5 min)
Vids sometimes pulls a generic stock image instead of your actual listing photos - swap those out. If a scene shows something that isn't there, a pool or a view that doesn't exist, delete it. Any AI alteration of a real listing photo needs the same disclosure as any other edited listing image.
5. Export and get a second opinion (5 min)
Send it to one person who's never seen the listing and ask if they would know it was AI-made? If the answer is "yes”, you can go back to step 3 and easily do another edit on the video to improve it.
The problem
Vids doesn't know your market - schools, HOA rules, parks nearby - unless it's literally in the document you uploaded. Never let it guess. The narration defaults to a synthetic voice and you need to make sure this sounds true to you. An extra step of recording your own narration adds a step but is a worthwhile tradeoff for quality.
