Tuesdays are 3 AI updates, one hot take, one action. Fridays are 1 practical real estate agent workflow.

Most agents I know run their majority of their business through text messages so one of the most common questions they ask me most is how I can connect Ai to manage that. Most of your client life is in there, and you can't remember who asked what on Tuesday. Claude has a connector for iMessage that most agents have never heard of, and this is how I'd use it without regretting it. It takes about 20 minutes on a Mac.

Privacy first. The connector lets Claude read the Messages app on your Mac, and whatever it reads becomes part of your chat, which Anthropic's models process. Your clients never agreed to that, so check your brokerage's policy, keep it off any Mac other people use, and skip threads that contain any financial details or ID numbers. Use it to read only, and send every reply yourself. macOS will ask permission to reach Messages and Contacts: approve what it asks, and stop if it asks for more than that. For even greater control when you finish for the week, simply switch the extension off.

What you need. Claude's desktop app on a Mac. It doesn't work on iPhone or the web. Anthropic lists the extension, Read and Send iMessages, as made and verified by Anthropic, and it's still an early version (0.1.11), so expect rough edges.

1. Turn it on (5 min)

In Claude on your Mac, open Settings, then Connectors, then Desktop extensions, and enable Read and Send iMessages. You can enable Read and Write Apple Notes the same way. Turn on Messages in iCloud so your iPhone threads show up on the Mac.

2. Find who is waiting on you (5 min)

Start a new chat and paste:

❝

Read my iMessages from the last 14 days. List every conversation where the other person is waiting on me: an unanswered question or something I promised to do. For each one give the name, what they need, how many days they've waited, and quote the message it came from. Read only. Don't send anything, and tell me when you can't tell whether I already answered.

Open the quoted message before you act on any item, because Claude can misread who owes whom.

3. Look up what you can't remember (3 min)

Pick a client and ask:

❝

Search my iMessages for the last time [client name] mentioned a budget or a deadline. Quote each message with its date, and say plainly if you can't find one.

This (or something similar) is one you can use before every call.

4. Draft the replies, send nothing (5 min)

Paste:

❝

For the five people who have waited longest, write a reply in my voice, two to three sentences each, ending with one easy next step. Save all five in an Apple Note called Replies to send, with each person's name above their draft. Don't send any of them.

Copy each one into Messages yourself. To take this a level up you can have it run as a scheduled task the same same time every weekday.

Reminder

It only sees texts that sync to your Mac, so a thread that never synced won't show up. Don't ask Claude to describe who lives in an area, because that's a fair housing issue. If you build this, reply and tell me how many clients you were surprised to find waiting on you.
